How do you make a website that’s easy to use? As I learned from the enlightened wealth institute, there are actually three elements that affect the shopping experience of customers, which are also the same factors which determines how successful your site is in making money online.

•    The shop front s the interface that customers see. It usually has an online catalog and enables your users to browse through the products (and services) that your site offers.  You need to make sure that your shop front will enable your customers to find the products they need easily. According to some researchers, most internet users give online stores to show results in eight seconds or they will go to a different store. The design of the store front should be intuitive and it should show customers what stage in the buying process they are located.
•    The shopping cart facilitates the easy selection and purchase of products. Customers should be able to find the checkout clearly and products should be signposted so that when they are ready to pay, all products they chose are included in the processing of payment. The process should be speedy and should provide a summary of the products purchased. It should also include the details of shipping and should allow a printable version of the receipt.
•    The payment software allows customers to pay their purchases through debit or credit cards. For this, you can open a merchant account, use a payment processing company or setup an online shop within a virtual mall.  I prefer to use paypal for credit card processing as it is the easiest payment processor to set up, and once you start having volume, you can go for a merchant account as well.
